SEC announces kickoff time, broadcast information for Auburn’s visit to Texas A&M

After three consecutive non-conference matchups to start the season, the Auburn Tigers are set to open SEC play on Sept. 23 with a visit to Texas A&M in College Station.

As announced by the SEC Monday morning, the Tigers and Aggies will kick off each other’s conference slates with a 11 a.m. kickoff from Kyle Field. The game will air on ESPN.

Since the two programs’ first meeting in 1911, Auburn is 9-12 against Texas A&M, but the Tigers have won six of the last 10 matchups dating back to 2013 and are also 4-1 when visiting the Aggies in College Station.

Auburn beat Texas A&M 13-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium last fall — making for the closest margin of victory for either team in the series’ history and the first win for Cadillac Williams as interim head coach.

Historically, however, neither the Tigers nor the Aggies have ever truly run away with a win as the largest margin of victory was just 16 points in favor of Auburn in 2015.

After opening the 2023 campaign with wins over UMass and Cal, Auburn has the opportunity to take a 3-0 record into SEC play with a homecoming win over Samford this Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M is looking to rebound with a game against Louisiana-Monroe this weekend after falling to Miami 48-33 on the road.
