The Alabama Department of Corrections is searching for a man who escaped Saturday from a work release program in Prichard.

Correctional workers discovered Kent Woods, 36, was missing during an 11 a.m. institutional count.

Woods, who is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds, was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants, according to authorities.

He is serving a 10-year prison sentence for robbery at the Mobile Community Based Facility and Community Work Center at 2423 N. Beltline Highway in Prichard.
