The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is currently searching for a missing kayaker reported struck by a barge near Guntersville Dam.

WAFF is reporting the incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The U.S. Coast Guard is also involved in the search.

Dive teams reportedly recovered a kayak, a life jacket and a paddle from the area near the dam.

Marshall County EMA referred all question to ALEA.
