Scottsboro’s famous Unclaimed Baggage damaged in north Alabama storms

Scottsboro’s famous Unclaimed Baggage was damaged in Wednesday night’s severe storms.

According to Sonni Hood, Sr. Manager of Public Relations of the store, the main store did not receive significant damage and was open for regular hours today.

Right next door to the main store is the Bargain Basement, which hosts three levels of mens’ lost luggage goods and more.

It sustained damage to its roof and is closed today.

The most significant damage was to a building in the parking lot that houses the store’s offices, Hood said.

Hood said to keep an eye on Unclaimed Baggage’s social pages to see when the Bargain Basement reopens, and the company sends their best to all who were affected by the severe weather.

“We’re praying for family and friends who have been impacted by these storms,” Hood said.
