A shooting at a Scottsboro restaurant late Friday leaves one person dead and another charged with murder.

Jerry Carl Hicks, 25, of Scottsboro was arrested in the fatal shooting of Aaron Nix at LaCabana Mexican Restaurant on Veterans Drive.

Scottsboro Police found Nix dead on the scene after responding to a 911 call, according to reports by The Clarion and later confirmed by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Hicks was booked at the Jackson County Jail early Saturday morning with a bond of $250,000.
