Savannah James, wife of LeBron James, visits Auburnâs Neville Arena to support son Bronny
While there weren’t signs of LeBron James at Neville Arena on Sunday as the Auburn Tigers hosted the USC Trojans, USC freshman Bronny James didn’t come to The Plains alone.
Savannah James, wife of LeBron and mother to Bronny, sat in the USC family section behind the Trojans’ bench as Bronny played in his second college basketball game of his career.
Bronny James made his college debut against Long Beach State on Dec. 10, when he tallied the first 17 minutes of his college career. Bronny James finished his debut with four points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
While a player’s first college games are always special, they are especially significant for Bronny James, who went into cardiac arrest during a workout in late July. It wasn’t until Nov. 30 that he’d be cleared to play again.
“That moment was everything for us to be there,” LeBron James said in an interview after watching his son play in his first college game. “To see the first person out of our family, out of the James gang, to grace a college campus and a college floor, that was pretty cool.”
Savannah and LeBron James have been married since 2013 and have two sons — Bronny and Bryce.
