Saraland linebacker Jamison Curtis commits to Troy

Saraland High School linebacker Jamison Curtis has committed to Troy, he announced Wednesday.

Curtis is rated a 3-star recruit in the 2024 signing class. He announced his commitment via Twitter.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Curtis totaled 107 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions as a junior for the Class 6A champion Spartans in 2022. He also has scholarship offers from South Alabama, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Marshall, among several other schools.

Curtis is among several Division I prospects on the Saraland roster, a group that also includes four Class of 2025 standouts: wide receiver (and reigning Mr. Football in the state of Alabama) Ryan Williams, quarterback KJ Lacy, running back Santae McWilliams and defensive lineman Antonio Coleman. Williams has been committed to Alabama since last summer, while Lacy committed to Texas last weekend.

Curtis is Troy’s second verbal commitment for the Class of 2024, joining Montgomery Catholic quarterback Caleb McCreary. The early signing period for high school players begins in December.
