Sarah Huckabee Sanders jabs Bud Light, Dylan Mulvaney with ‘Real Women’ video featuring Kay Ivey

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is taking aim at Bud Light and the controversy surrounding transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney with a video featuring the “real women of politics,” including Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey.

A 66-second clip released Sunday by Sanders, a narrator introduced the “Real Women of Politics,” a play off the Bud Light ad series, “Real Men of Genius.” The video then shows a montage of Sanders, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, Ivey, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, all fellow Republican governors.

The narrator then says the video salutes “all the real women leaders of this great country,” as a background vocal adds “real women don’t have to fake it.”

“Some big companies can’t tell the difference between real and fake anymore. That’s why we’re introducing the ‘Real Women of Politics’ koozie.”

“Now you can salute the real women of politics at every backyard barbecue and tailgate. And if it covers up the label of a big woke company, well, that works too,” the narrator concludes.

The koozies featuring the four women are on sale on Sanders’ website for $15 for two.

While not mentioning the company by name, Sanders’ ad seemingly references the controversy surrounding Bud Lite and maker Anheuser-Busch partnering with Mulvaney, a move that led to a boycott and at least two of the drink-makers executives taking leaves of absence.

After the Mulvaney issue errupted, Anheuser-Busch Brendan Whitworth said the company “never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.

“I care deeply about this country, this company, our brands and our partners. I spend much of my time traveling across America, listening to and learning from our customers, distributors and others. Moving forward, I will continue to work tirelessly to bring great beers to consumers across our nation,” Whitworth said earlier this month.
