Samford basketball star Achor Achor has entered the NCAA transfer portal, he announced late Wednesday.

Achor, a 6-foot-9 forward, was a first-team All-Southern Conference pick this past season for the Bulldogs, who finished 29-6 and reached the NCAA tournament for the first time in 24 years. The Melbourne, Australia, native — who played high school basketball in the Atlanta area — averaged 16.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 58.6% from the field.

Achor, who played two seasons at Chipola (Fla.) College and two seasons at Samford, has one year of eligibility remaining. He also entered his name into the 2024 NBA draft, but can withdraw by May 29 in order to play another year of college.
