Ryan Williams grades his freshman season: ‘Could have done a lot better’
Ryan Williams didn’t sound ready to give himself an A+.
Williams, after another spring practice Thursday, was asked how he would grade his freshman season with Alabama football in 2024.
“People are going to say it was solid, good,” Williams said. “I think I could have done a lot better. Left some plays out there. But that’s part of the journey. It was alright. We’re looking on to bigger and better things.”
Williams caught 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. The Saraland product also took four carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
So, what’s next for Williams? How does he take the next step?
“I’m getting a little bigger, if you all can’t tell,” Williams said, grinning. “Just trying to impact blocking because my guys block for me. Just trying to return that favor down the field blocking. And you can never not get better at running routes. Just being a better leader. Just trying to improve overall.”
Alabama will continue spring practices through Saturday, April 12, when the Crimson Tide will hold A-Day.
