Roster tracker: Tracking all of Auburn basketball’s roster changes ahead of the 2025-2026 season
Auburn men’s basketball’s 2024-2025 season came to an end in the Final Four Saturday, meaning the offseason is now in full swing.
The Tigers will have to replace a number of key players and a handful will have decisions to make regarding their future with the program. The transfer portal opened following the second round of the NCAA tournament and Auburn has already been active.
That will be important as Auburn looks to replace impact players such as Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, Miles Kelly and others.
With that said, follow along below to keep up with all of Auburn’s roster changes.
Outgoing players (9)
Out of eligibility (8)
F/C Johni Broome
C Dylan Cardwell
G Miles Kelly
G Denver Jones
*F Chaney Johnson
F Chris Moore
F Ja’Heim Hudson
G JP Pegues
Declared for NBA draft (1)
*G Tahaad Pettiford
The star next to Johnson’s name is due to his time spent at the Division II level. There hasn’t been an NCAA ruling that would give former Division II seniors an extra year like with former JUCO players, but there is precedent for a former Division II athlete to gain an extra year of eligibility.
Wisconsin football player Nyzier Fourqurean filed a lawsuit against the NCAA to give him an extra year of eligibility due to him starting his career at Division II Grand Valley State. Fourqurean was granted a preliminary injunction, allowing him to play for Wisconsin this season.
The star next to Pettiford’s name is due to him declaring for the NBA draft, but maintaining his college eligibility. He has until May 28 to decide whether or not to withdraw from the draft.
