There have plenty of questions surrounding Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide this season. As they head into Saturday’s game against Texas A&M in College Station, former Tide safety Roman Harper was asked if this team could win the SEC.

“Their whole season is still right out there in front of them,” Harper explained. “You can’t listen to what everyone is going to tell you about how if you lose how disappointing this team is when all your goals are still right out there in front of you. You control your own destiny, you just got to go out there and win.”

Yes, or no? Can they win the SEC?

“Yes. Yes, they can,” he said. “They’ve got an explosive enough quarterback and offense that they can put up points, but it’s really going to have to come back down to this defense,” Harper said. “Anytime Alabama creates turnovers and gets after the quarterback, they win that game. I don’t care who they play. When they don’t do those things, they actually struggle.”
