Ric Flair calls out Georgia, trolls Finebaum about where his head is
The Ric Flair-Paul Finebaum saga continued after No. 8 Alabama’s 27-24 win over No. 1 Georgia for the SEC Championship Game on Saturday night.
The wrestling legend took to social media to take a shot at Georgia and the Mouth of the South in an on-going feud.

“I couldn’t help but notice that the Georgia Bulldogs were dragging,” Flair posted on “X,” the social platform formerly known as Twitter. “Maybe it’s because you had your head so far up their ass, Finebaum. Go Blue! WOOOOO!”
Flair called out the SEC Network analyst last month for what has been a pretty consistent verbal assault on Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines program.
Finebaum clapped back.
“Flair, in his Michigan fandom, is still chasing the success of the SEC as indicated by his behavior a couple of years ago with Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs,” Finebaum told AL.com last month.
“I guess he is right about one thing: ‘If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man.’”
The SEC Network analyst was referring to Georgia’s 34-11 win over Michigan in the 2021 College Football Playoff. The morning of the game, Flair took to then-Twitter in a Michigan jersey to reveal he was rooting for the Wolverines because of the perceived cold shoulder he received from Smart when in Athens.
On Saturday, the No. 1 Bulldogs had their 29-game losing streak snapped when they fell to No. 8 Alabama in the SEC title game.
