Reward offered in February drive-by that killed young Phenix City man

Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the identity of the gunman or gunmen who killed a young man in Phenix City last month.

Daeqwon Mackey, 22, was shot to death Feb. 4 in what appears to be a drive-by.

The deadly shooting happened about 2:45 p.m. that Saturday in the 2700 block of Sixth Street. Mackey was taken to Columbus Piedmont Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A silver Hyundai Sonata was seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Central Alabama Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the suspect or suspects.
