The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder is the second defensive lineman to depart the program since the end of spring practices and the sixth overall transfer out of the program this spring. He joins fellow defensive end Jeffrey M’ba (Purdue), a trio of reserve linebackers in Desmond Tisdol (Florida Atlantic), Kameron Brown (UT-Chattanooga) and Powell Gordon, and wide receiver Tar’Varish Dawson Jr. (Cincinnati) as players to hit the portal for the Tigers this spring.

A former three-star recruit in the 2021 class, Okoli appeared in just one game across his two seasons at Auburn. He made his debut against Alabama State as a true freshman in 2021 but did not record a stat. He did not see the field last season.

Okoli finished spring working with the third-team defense on A-Day at defensive end but appeared to have, at best, an outside shot at cracking the rotation along the defensive line.
