The guests have all gone and the good china has been stowed away for another year and you are basking in the glow of a very successful Thanksgiving feast.

But for a lot of folks, me included, the day after the big day is just as important (or almost so) as the big day itself. Black Friday may be the nation’s signature shopping day, but it also is when resourceful home chefs get to really show off what they can do.
