Reports: Ole Miss’ Judkins to enter transfer portal
Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report Thursday by Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.
Judkins, a Montgomery native who starred at Pike Road High School, is a two-time first-team All-SEC pick with the Rebels. He has rushed for 2,725 yards and 31 touchdowns in his two seasons at Ole Miss, including 1,158 yards and 15 scores in 2023.
Max Olson of The Athletic later confirmed Zenitz’s report.
Judkins (5-foot-11, 210 pounds) led Pike Road to the Class 5A state championship in 2021, but as a 3-star recruit was largely ignored by the in-state SEC schools. Alabama did not offer him a scholarship, while Auburn did offer him, but prioritized Georgia native Damari Alston in its 2022 signing class.
Ole Miss has been mostly adding star players through the portal in this cycle, including defensive tackle Walter Nolen (Texas A&M), wide receiver Juice Wells (South Carolina), edge rushers Tyler Baron (Tennessee) and Princely Umanmielen (Florida) and defensive backs Decamerion Richardson (Mississippi State) and linebacker Chris Paul (Arkansas). The Rebels beat Penn State 38-25 in the Peach Bowl to finish 11-2.
