Multiple people are dead following a crash this afternoon on the Baldwin Beach Express near Robertsdale, according to local news reports.

Robertsdale police say a “serious traffic accident” happened on the highway near McDaniel Lane, with both northbound and southbound lanes blocked.

According to FOX10, the incident happened at about 2:38 p.m. First responders found two people dead in a vehicle, with several others transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

Another person died on the way en route to the hospital.

WKRG is reporting that police are diverting traffic down U.S. 90 and Alabama 104.
