Reporter asks if Trump has been working out with RFK Jr.: ‘Looks healthier than ever before’
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had to answer tough questions on Friday, like the president’s tariff war with China, the deportation of a Maryland resident to El Salvador and President Donald Trump’s fitness regimen.
Yes, among the handful of questions the media lobbed at Leavitt on Friday was whether the White House will release Trump’s fitness plan.
“He actually looks healthier than ever before — healthier than he did eight years ago,” the reporter said in prefacing her question. “And I’m sure everyone in this room could agree.”
The came the hard-hitting question:
“Is he working out with Bobby Kennedy? And is he eating less McDonald’s?”
Leavitt chuckled before answering.
“I can confirm the president is in very good shape, as you see on a near-daily basis here,” she said.
The question came after the reporter’s colleague asked if Trump would be more transparent about his health after criticizing Joe Biden’s physical and mental condition.
“I can tell you there was certainly a lack of transparency from the former president, from the entire former administration, and frankly, a lot of people in this room when it came to the health and the competence of… Joe Biden.”
She claimed Biden’s health is “one of the greatest coverups and, frankly, political scandals this nation has ever seen.”
The allegations are detailed in “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” written by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson of Axios to be released next month.
Leavitt said the administration will release the White House physician’s medical report on the president “as soon as we can.”
