Recruiting update: Offers continue to roll in for Moody star, more news
The college scholarship offers for Moody edge defender Ba’Roc Willis continue to roll in.
Originally committed to Alabama, 2027 graduate Willis has since reopened his recruiting and picked up his latest offers from USC and SMU.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound 4-star recruit also has SEC offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas and Vanderbilt. Other programs with offers include Michigan, Florida State, Miami and more.
Willis was named Class 5A first team all-state last season.
COMMITMENTS
Bayside Academy’s Monroe Partin announced his commitment to Wake Forest.
The 6-4, 225-pound 3-star linebacker chose the Demon Deacons over offers from UAB, Tulane, Memphis, South Alabama, Troy, Southern Miss, Jacksonville State and others.
Partin was a Class 3A second-team all-state selection last season.
Landon Everett of Gulf Shores committed to Army over offers from Austin Peay, North Alabama and Arkansas State for the 6-foot, 210-pound RB/LB.
Wetumpka 6-2, 290-pound DL/OL Elijah Peake committed to Western Kentucky. He also had offers from Troy, North Alabama, Arkansas State and others.
Lineman Taygan Harris of Scottsboro announced his commitment to North Alabama. The 6-2, 270-pound senior was honorable mention Class 5A all-state in 2024.
OFFERS
Huntsville OL Joey Fleming added to his list with an Alabama offer.
The 6-5, 260-pound sophomore also holds offers from Auburn, Oklahoma and Jacksonville State.
Southern Miss offered three junior state prospects this week in Oak Mountain’s Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, Central-Phenix City Jatori Williams and Southside-Gadsden’s Rance Brown.
The 6-2, 180-pound 4-star Aparicio-Bailey also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt from the SEC as well as Clemson, Oregon and USC among others.
Williams is a 6-5, 300-pound 4-star OL with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida State and others.
Junior 6-6, 275-pound OL Brown also picked up an offer from Duke this week and has offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Troy, Memphis and North Alabama among others.
Opelika RB/DB CJ Johnson — he played 8-man football at AISA Springwood last season — announced an offer from UAB. He also has an offer from North Alabama.
Troy recently offered Hoover junior defensive backs Jordan Williams and Anquan Allen.
The 6-1, 175-pound Allen has offers from Arkansas, Wake Forest, North Alabama, Alabama State among others while Williams has offers from North Alabama, Alabama State and more.
Saraland sophomore Keoni Snipes announced an offer from South Alabama.
A 6-6, 235-pound edge, Snipes also has offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Tulane, Liberty, Southern Miss and more.
Darion Moseley of Thompson picked up an offer from Louisville.
The 6-foot, 185-pound 3-star 2027 WR, named last season’s Class 7A championship game MVP, also has offers from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Washington, UAB, Maryland, Wake Forest and others.
Hoover’s DJ Waluyn received an offer from Troy to go along with offers from Arkansas, Wake Forest, North Alabama and more for the the 6-foot-175-pound senior.
Ramsay’s Karlos May announced a Georgia offer.
May is a 6-4, 305-pound junior DL with offers from Ole Miss, UAB, Troy, Arkansas State and others.
Kameron Scarver, a junior OL from Parker, received a Tulane offer to go along with offers from Memphis, Arkansas State and Alabama State among others.
Oxford junior Bryson Sanderson added a Liberty offer to his list.
The 6-5, 285-pound 3-star recruit also has offers from Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Vigor 4-star Edge Jabarrius Garror committed to Alabama in July of 2024, but offers continue with North Carolina the latest for the 2024 Class 5A Lineman of the Year and first team all-state selection.
Garror also has offers from most SEC schools, including Auburn, as well as Michigan, Miami, Oregon and more.
