Rece Davis narrates Alabama hype video, challenges Tide fans: ‘If you are the Mecca … show people’

If you aren’t pumped for LSU’s visit to Tuscaloosa on Saturday to face Alabama, Rece Davis will make sure you are ready.

The “College GameDay” host narrated an Alabama hype video ahead of the crucial SEC West showdown, and once you finish watching it, you’ll be ready to run through a wall.

Davis also challenged Crimson Tide fans to show up for the “GameDay,” the popular college football pregame show. It will be broadcasting from Tuscaloosa for the second time this season.

“If you are the Mecca of college football, which Alabama fans believe they are, show people,” he said. “Let’s see what you got.”

Meanwhile, quarterback Jayden Daniels is set to lead LSU and the nation’s top offense against Jalen Milroe and Alabama. The eighth-ranked Crimson Tide host the 13th-ranked Tigers, and both teams have been on hot streaks after shaky starts, though they’ve done it in different ways.

LSU is averaging more than 47 points a game while Alabama has one of the SEC’s best defenses. The winner has emerged as the SEC West champion in 10 of the past 12 years.

Daniels is a Heisman Trophy candidate and LSU scored 49 points even in a loss to No. 11 Ole Miss. The Tigers have averaged 53 points during their three-game winning streak since then. Daniels has weapons galore led by Malik Nabers, who leads the nation with 981 receiving yards, and Brian Thomas, who has a nation’s best 11 touchdown catches.

Alabama has won six straight to re-emerge as a playoff contender behind one of the SEC’s best defenses while Milroe and the offense have found their footing since he rode the bench in an anemic 17-3 win over South Florida.
