Reality TV star accused of slapping Twin Peaks bar manager
Reality TV star Chase Chrisley is accused of slapping the manager of a Twin Peaks restaurant on Jan. 6 in Atlanta.
Chrisley, who is known for the “Chrisley Knows Best” show, was arrested Thursday by the Atlanta Police Department, three days after an altercation at Twin Peaks Sports Bar, according to police records reviewed by “Entertainment Weekly.” Chrisley was charged with simple battery and released on a $10,000 bond.
He was allegedly drunk on Jan. 6 and refused to leave when asked by the manager. He allegedly slapped the manager twice in the face, including once while he was on the phone with 911.
According to the report, Chrisley, 28, was acting “very disrespectful and belligerent.” He refused to leave several times.
The restaurant, per The Associated Press, shared security footage of the incident with police.
Lawyers for the reality star, per Entertainment Weekly, said the incident “has been entirely blown out of proportion.”
“Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home,” attorneys Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg and Zack Findling said in a Friday statement to the publication. “He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation.”
