R&B artist Tink to bring âThanks 4 Everything PT2â² tour to Birmingham
After a sold-out finale to her “Thanks 4 Everything” tour in April, Tink is back on the road for a second leg of the tour, and she’s bringing the show to Birmingham.
The “Tink & Friends: Thanks 4 Everything PT2″ tour featuring Jaquees and Sonta kicked off on Friday, June 2 in Minneapolis, Minn. Produced by the Black Promoters Collective, the tour hits The BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham on Thursday, June 15. Tickets range from $55 to $75 before fees and are are available on Ticketmaster.
“Tink & Friends: Thanks 4 Everything PT2″ tour is in support of Tinks fourth studio album, “Thanks 4 Nothing.” Released in February, the album follows the Chicago native’s 2022 album, “Pillowtalk.”
While “Pillowtalk” primarily focused on love, “Thanks 4 Nothing” addresses the “grittier and more intricate aspects of relationships,” says the official tour announcement. “It examines the multifaceted issues of love, ranging from dating toxic individuals, battling trust issues, cheating and being cheated on, and finding new partners – all while still owning independence and knowing who really is ‘the catch.’”
Chicago-based news and culture publication The Tribe describes the 14-track album as a combinatination of post-breakup emancipatory blues and a journey to self-love.
“If last year’s ‘Pillow Talk’ encapsulated Tink’s velvety amorous desires with a partner, then ‘Thanks 4 Nothing’ completely evades them,” writes The Tribe. “Instead, she decides to pour that love into herself.”
The “Tink & Friends: Thanks 4 Everything PT2″ tour will include stops in Memphis (June 9), Nashville (June 10), and Charlotte, N.C. The tour concludes on July 1 at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts in Jacksonville, Fla.
