Ravens place former Alabama cornerback on injured reserve

The Baltimore Ravens placed former Alabama cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis on injured reserve on Saturday because of a concussion.

The designation will require the defensive back to miss at least four games, and the Ravens have only two games remaining on their regular-season schedule. But Baltimore already has clinched a spot in the AFC playoffs.

Armour-Davis missed the Ravens’ previous game – a 33-19 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night –because of the head injury.

The former St. Paul’s Episcopal standout has played in eight games in his second NFL season, missing time earlier because of a hamstring injury. Armour-Davis has been on the field for 28 defensive snaps and 110 special-teams plays in 2023.

Before taking on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Baltimore also signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell from its practice squad for the 53-player active roster to fill the spot created by Armour-Davis’ move to IR and elevated defensive back Andrew Adams and outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon from the practice squad to make them eligible to play on Sunday.

A former Hoover High School standout, Moon has played in six games for the Ravens this season. He’s been on the field for 70 defensive snaps and 104 special-teams plays.
