Raise a Bic lighter for 5 classic rock concerts in Alabama

Classic rock fans will have plenty of opportunities to raise a Bic lighter — or wave a lighted cell phone — over the next few months in Alabama. Famous artists whose careers date back to the 1970s are ready to play their hits for audiences throughout the state, evoking cheers and nostalgia aplenty.

Here are five classic rock shows you won’t want to miss, scheduled November through February.

Who: British-American rock band formed in 1976, known for top-selling albums such as 1978′s “Double Vision” and 1981′s “4.″ Foreigner’s radio hits include “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Head Games,” “Feels Like the First Time,” “Double Vision,” “Urgent” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

When: Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., with Loverboy as the opening act.
