Pynk Beard changes venue for Jan. 31 live show due to high demand
Hit song writer turned country artist, Pynk Beard, has announced that he’s changing venues for his upcoming live show.
“Due to demand – which I’m very very excited about – due to demand for the show on the 31st, we are changing the venue,” Beard announced on Facebook Live on Friday. All tickets will be honored. We will be at Michael’s but next door at Regions Field in the Pearl River Lounge. It’s giving me a lot more space to work with.”
He went on to explain that he initially sold out of VIP tickets and he’s now able to offer more in the relocated venue.
The Pearl River Lounge has a 1,200-person capacity according to the Birmingham Barons website. Beard said he’s not wanting to reach capacity, but instead make sure that there are enough seats for 400 people who plan to buy tickets.
If the demand for his show keeps growing, he’ll do a second show, he said.
Since continuing to push his new brand as a country artist, Beard said notable public figures have reached out to him.
“I’ve had Cedric the Entertainer, Joy Taylor, Cam Newton, and Erick Sermon reach out to me to just let me know they’re enjoying the music,” Beard told AL.com.
Beard said that he’s noticed some off-putting comments from people on social media about his unique look and Pynk Beard persona.
“My goal was to get people to pay attention to what I’m saying. I tried to highlight specifically my mouth,” Beard explained. “So I put golds and a pink beard around it and gold chains around it. I’m trying to get people to pay attention to what I’m saying.”
The live show is expected to take place on January 31.
