Prime acreage sells for big bucks in Baldwin County

Local investors paid $1.75 million for 39 acres at the northwest corner of Baldwin County 8 and Ala. 59 in Gulf Shores, according to Stacey Ryals of Ryals Realty, who represented the buyers. The sellers were represented by Frank Malone of Bellator Real Estate & Development. The buyers have no immediate plans for the property which has frontage on Highway 59, Baldwin County 8 and Grund Lane.

Rainbow Shops has leased 12,000 square feet of space in Westgate Plaza at 5440 U.S. 90 West in Mobile according to Leigh Dale Younce of SRS Real Estate Partners, who represented the landlord. The space is adjacent to the Winn-Dixie supermarket. Rainbow USA Inc., is a moderate price american retail apparel chain with more than 1,300 locations and this will be the store’s fourth location in Mobile. Waterstone Properties handled the lease transaction for Rainbow Shops.

Developers are seeking rezoning approval to build an 80-lot residential subdivision, Timberland Trace, on almost 30 acres on the north side of U.S. 98 and east of Baldwin County 91 near Lillian, according to the Baldwin County Planning Commision.

Mariner Finance has leased 1,355 square feet of office space in Springdale at 3250 Airport Blvd., in Mobile, according to Leigh Dale Younce of SRS Real Estate Partners, who represented the tenant. JLL worked for the landlord.

Watch for Bienville Landing to be developed on 44.5 acres on Baldwin County 10 just west of Bon Secour Highway in the Foley and Bon Secour area, according to Baldwin County Planning Commission. The subdivision will have 137 residential lots.
