Prichard teen charged with murder of man found dead in car in Mobile

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the March 14 murder of a 27-year-old man who was shot dead sitting inside a vehicle in Mobile.

The suspect, 18-year-old Lacedrick Napoleon Davis of Prichard, has been charged with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and 1st-degree burglary.

A warrant was issued for his arrest March 17. Mobile County deputies took him into custody Tuesday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Northwest Drive on March 14, about 9:16 p.m. There, they found Cedric Lynch inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Davis remained in the Mobile Metro Jail as of Wednesday morning, pending an initial court appearance.

Mobile police will release no other details of the case “to protect the integrity of the investigation.”
