A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:24 p.m. for hail until 3:30 p.m. for Madison, Marshall, Jackson and DeKalb counties.

“Thunderstorms are sporadically popping up and developing lightning, pea sized hail and gusty winds across portions of southern middle Tennessee and locations east of I-65 in north Alabama. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, or a favorite local media outlet, for further statements or updates from the National Weather Service in Huntsville,” states the weather service.
