Premier Tech opens $33 million Montgomery headquarters
Premier Tech opened its $33 million U.S. headquarters in Montgomery on Tuesday.
The 167,000-square-foot office will serve the company’s Systems and Automation business group, which specializes in conventional and robotic packaging and palletizing systems.
The Montgomery operation employs 133 production and office team members. According to the company, the configuration of this new facility could lead to further investments that could double the workforce by 2028.
Simon Roy, president and COO of Premier Tech Systems and Automation, said the opening “is the culmination of many months of hard work.”
Jeffrey Kotila, site director, said the facility will increase the quality of products such as powder coating, and the technical floor will allow for testing equipment and payloads.
“Premier Tech is a world-leading manufacturer of sophisticated packaging and processing equipment, and its new facility in Montgomery will help this high-performance company fully realize its growth potential,” Alabama Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield said. “The opening of this tech hub represents a milestone for Premier Tech and great news for the Montgomery region.”
