Predatory towing complaints persist in Birmingham despite updated ordinance
Birmingham drivers say predatory towing is as rampant as ever months after the city voted on an updated ordinance aimed at improving the issue. This has made many reluctant to visit businesses downtown.
“My daughter had her car towed when visiting the Pizitz Food Hall a few weeks ago,” said Michelle Tibbals Blanton. “There were no signs where she parked, and they towed it less than ten minutes from her parking. I won’t be going anywhere downtown until this is addressed.”
