Powerball jackpot now at $1.5 billion: No prize winner Wednesday; when is next drawing?
The Powerball jackpot just keeps climbing and climbing.
No winning tickets were sold for Wednesday night’s $1.2 billion jackpot for numbers 2-11-22-35-60 and Powerball 23. The big prize now rolls over and is expected to reach $1.5 billion by Saturday’s drawing.
There have been 39 consecutive Powerball drawings since August with no winner and this jackpot is nearing historic range. The record is a $1.586 billion Powerball grand prize shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016.

If there is a winner Saturday, the can opt for a lump sum cash payment of about $745.9 million or annuity payments spread across 29 years.
The next Powerball drawing will take place at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee at 10:59 p.m. ET (9:59 p.m. CT). Ticket sale cut-off times vary by jurisdiction, but typically occur 1-2 hours before the scheduled drawing.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball is played in 45 states, and in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets aren’t sold in Alabama, one of six states that don’t participate.
