Capella Pizzeria will open its newest location at Birmingham’s Uptown at the BJCC next week.

The grand opening will take place on March 24 at 10:30 a.m.

The restaurant is located next to Mugshots Grill & Bar and across from Uptown Cantina.

Capella Pizzeria’s menu will feature signature wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers and desserts.

The restaurant also has locations in Trussville and Inverness.

“We are excited to open our doors in Uptown and become part of this vibrant community,” owner Mehmet Ozbey said. “At Capella Pizzeria, we strive to offer exceptional Italian Pizza while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests to enjoy.”

Uptown Birmingham, the area near the BJCC and Protective Stadium, last year was named by Forbes as a “Neighborhood to Watch.”

The publication recognized the area’s wide selection of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.

In addition to the BJCC, which hosts concerts, theater and sports, the area also has Top Golf, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and City Walk.
