The Magic City is getting a new pizza joint.

Emmy Squared Pizza, a Brooklyn-based chain with locations across the country, is coming to the Summit in Birmingham.

The company announced Alabama’s first Emmy location on its website.

Emmy Squared Pizza specializes in square, Detroit-style pizza, but also serves a wide variety of foods, including salads, sandwiches and award-winning burgers.

The Birmingham location is scheduled to open this spring, and will be next door to Trader Joe’s at the Summit.

The menu boasts more than a dozen unique pizzas, plus a build-your-own option, with choices for vegan and vegetarian diners. And the pizzas can even be made gluten free.
