Popular grocer recalls salad sold in 18 states, including Alabama

Trader Joe’s is recalling its popular sesame miso salmon salad due to an undeclared allergen.

According to a report from the FDA, a limited quantity of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon is being recalled because the topping packet may potentially contain an undeclared milk allergen.

The FDA reports that 500 units of the salad were mistakenly packaged with a sealed packet of Parmesan cheese crumbles, instead of a packet of crispy onions.

The affected salads come in 10.25-ounce packages and have a a UPC code 00773164. The salads have use-by dates of April 28 and April 29.

People who have a sensitivity or allergy to milk may be at risk of if they consumed the salad mix. No adverse reactions have been reported to date, according to the FDA.

The affected salads were distributed in 18 states, including the following:
