A popular cleaning product sold at national retailers such as Walmart and Dollar General is being recalled over concerns it could be contaminated.

The recall covers some 4.9 million Fabuloso Multi-Purpose cleaners sold online at Amazon.com and other websites and at Dollar General, Family Dollar, The Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Walmart and other major retailers from December 2022 to January 2023. The first 8 digits of the recalled lot code – is located on the back of the bottle above the label either directly above or towards the top of the bottle – are 2348US78 through 2365US78 and 30001US78 through 3023US78.

The products are being recalled due to the possible presence of Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens, organisms found widely in soil and water. The bacteria poses little risk to health people but can cause serious infections for those with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions.
