Mobile police are investigating a homicide at an area motel.

According to the Mobile Police Department’s Public Information Office, officer responded to a report of a shooting Tuesday morning at the Extend-a-Suites motel on the Interstate 65 Service Road.

Officer responding to the call found a female victim, suffering from an unknown number of gunshot wounds. She later died from her injuries and police say a homicide investigation is underway.

No one has been charged in the crime and no other details have been released.
