Police trying to ID suspect in at least 4 Birmingham store holdups
Authorities are trying to identify the suspect in multiple robberies at Birmingham businesses.
The holdups happened at four businesses between Dec. 31 and Jan. 9, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
On Saturday, Dec. 31, at 11:20 a.m., the suspect entered Gas Boy at 9917 Parkway East. He walked into the business, pointed a handgun at the store clerk and fled with merchandise.
Three more robberies happened Monday, Jan. 9:
– At 1:40 p.m., the suspect walked into the Metro PCS on Huffman Road, made a threat with a weapon toward a sales associate and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
– At 7:35 p.m., the suspect entered Family Dollar at 3001 12th Avenue. Again, he threated the store associate with a weapon and left with cash.
– At 8:25 p.m., the suspect went into the Marathon on Crestwood Boulevard. He brandished a gun and fled with money.
