Police say no foul play in death of body found after Alabama car explosion
Sheffield police have determined that there was no evidence of “foul play” involved in the death of a body discovered in an exploded car Sunday.
Police issued an update on the case Tuesday, according to WAAY.
The body, which has not been identified, was found in the back seat of a vehicle that was reported on fire on South Columbia Avenue Sunday.
After police arrived, the car exploded. A body was found in the back seat once the fire was extinguished.
Police are working with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine the identity of the body.
The fire is being investigated by the Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office.
