‘Pimpin Pookies’ burglarize Chilton County MotorSports Park
The Chilton County Sheriff is asking for the public’s help after the MotorSports Park was burglarized on Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that deputies discovered that a building and a golf cart had been damaged at the Maplesville race track.
A WVTM report detailed the damage, including broken windows and a flipped over golf cart with parts scattered throughout the park. A message was also left behind – “Pimpin Pookies was here” was written on the building in black marker.
“I kind of laughed about it,” Josh Alexander, the park’s owner, told the news outlet. “I immediately thought kids, obviously. They also left some evidence behind that was taken into the investigators. All we can do is wait and hope for the best. What’d they leave behind? They left cigarette butts and beer cans.”
Alexander said the damage could cost over $10,000 to fix, and is offering a $2,000 reward for any information.
The Sheriff’s office said they are still investigating the incident.
“Sheriff John Shearon and the entire Chilton County Sheriff’s Office continue to be committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community and will take all necessary steps to address this incident,” the Facebook post said.
