A dead body was found Wednesday in Mobile but officials believe the victim was killed in Florida.

According to a spokesperson, the Mobile Police Department will be assisting the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in the death investigation.

The body was found in Birdville, a neighborhood of Mobile, meaning it falls within MPD’s jurisdiction.
