Pell City man killed in early Sunday 2-vehicle morning crash
A Pell City man died in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 early Sunday morning.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 2:07 a.m. near the 150 mile marker, about six miles east of Moody in St. Clair County.
William C. Kimbert, 28, was driving a 2012 Dodge Avenger when it was struck by a 2020 Kia Forte, driven by Michelle E. Quick, 29, of Oxford.
Bailey said Kimbert, who was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. Quick was injured and transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
