Pelicans-Thunder free live stream: How to watch NBA playoffs online, TV, time

The New Orleans Pelicans take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second game of their first round series tonight on TNT at 8:30 p.m. CT.

Fans can watch the game for free by using DirecTV Stream’s free trial, or they can purchase a Sling subscription that is 50% off for their first month. Fans can also watch Heat-Celtics tonight by utilizing the same methods.

Despite finishing the regular season in seventh place, the Pelicans made the NBA playoffs as the eighth seed because they went 1-1 in the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament. The first game of this series was intense, as the Thunder eked out a 94-92 win at home to take a 1-0 series lead. The Pelicans are going to have to win a couple of games without star player Zion Williamson, as he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. Williamson has some hope to return for game 5 of this series, so the Pelicans are trying to survive until then.

In Williamson’s absence, CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy III scored 20 and 21 points, respectively. However, their impressive performances were not enough to topple Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 28 point night for the Thunder. The Pelicans had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, but McCollum missed a three point shot that would have put the Pelicans ahead by one.

The Thunder were able to hold on and win the game, despite not making a field goal for over five minutes in the fourth quarter. With such a great game played in game 1, fans can expect more of the same for the second game tonight.

Fans can watch the entire game for free with DirecTV Stream, or they can purchase a Sling subscription and receive a 50% discount for their first month. Following this game, there is more NBA action on TNT tonight.
