Pedestrian struck, killed on U.S. 90 in Mobile
A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles on U.S. 90 in Mobile Wednesday morning, according to Mobile police.
Officers responded to the scene about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 5100 block on U.S. 90. Initial investigation found that a vehicle was traveling westbound on the highway when the 37-year-old victim emerged suddenly from a nearby tree line and stepped into the roadway.
The man was struck by the vehicle and then again by a second vehicle. Both drivers remained at the scene and were found to not be impaired, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The incident remains under investigation.
