A pedestrian was killed this morning on a Birmingham interstate.

The crash happened at 6:31 a.m. on Interstate 65 near University Boulevard. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Birmingham police Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said the victim was an adult male.

Police wreck reconstruction officers are working the crash.
