Authorities are on the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in western Jefferson County.

The crash happened at 8:23 p.m. Friday on Bessemer Super Highway at Sugar Ray Drive.

Authorities said the victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
