Huntsville police say a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night.

Matthew Harper, 40, was identified as the man who died following a collision Saturday at about 8:55 p.m.

Officers were called to a crash near University Drive and Jordan Lane.

Harper was discovered at the scene and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say no charges are expected at this time.
