Pedestrian dies in Huntsville after being struck by a car
A 37-year-old woman died Saturday night after she was struck by a vehicle in north Huntsville, according to Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill.
Authorities identified the woman as Mylynda Cox. She was hit at the intersection of Memorial Parkway and Hollow Road by a vehicle traveling northbound and died at the scene, the coroner said in an email. Emergency workers pronounced her dead a little before midnight as a result of the injuries she sustained in the accident.
A spokesperson for the Huntsville Police Department said they do not expect the driver to face any criminal charges.
