A pedestrian died after he was struck by a truck early Tuesday morning in Walker County, authorities said.

Justin C. Morgan, 30, of Nauvoo, died after he was hit by a 2016 Ford F-250 on Redmill Saragossa Road near Edgil Grove Road around 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, about seven miles northwest of Jasper, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Cpl. Reginal King.

Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, King said.

Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate.
