Pedestrian, 58, killed in weekend Birmingham hit-and-run

A 58-year-old pedestrian was killed in a weekend hit-and-run in Birmingham.

Milton Earl Davis, of Birmingham, was walking in a business parking lot in Saturday’s predawn hours when he was fatally stuck, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. The location was the 400 block of Fourth Avenue North.

It has not yet been determined when Davis was struck. Authorities said the unknown vehicle left the road, hit Davis, and then drove off.

Davis was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:33 a.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
